Quilty Stuff

Well, I spent the last 3 days cleaning my sewing room- I can actually get to my sewing machine now! It was pretty bad- the last straw was the realization that ALL of my laundry baskets were full of pre-washed fabric that needed to be pressed! Yikes! 3 days of ironing later, it's looking pretty good :)

Here's a couple of bins with fat quarters, half yards and some yard cuts. I still have a basket of fabric to press, and that should just about fill up the second tub!

I also got my strips laid out for the Old Red Barn Co. quilt along... I shamelessly took the idea of using the drying rack from one of the other participants! Her Flickr name is GossamerDreams. I don't know if she has a blog. But I want to give credit where it's due!

And lastly I got my black, white and red fabrics all washed, pressed and organized for the Round Robin!

A friend of mine was recently diagnosed with cancer. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers! I may be going to New York next week to be with her when she has surgery. Hubby can't go, so I'll be taking the train if I go- lots of time for knitting!! I'd rather drive, but he doesn't want me to make that long drive alone. I will not fly, so train it is!

  1. your fabric look awesome and if you need a home for those beautiful blacks and whites ... mine home would be wonderful for them :O) Hope all goes well for your friend and i will definitely keep her in my prayers! Take Care!

  2. My thoughts are with you and your friend. I hope everything goes well. That's quite a substantial stash you've got there.

    Happy Stitching...Ann :)

  3. Both of you will be in my thoughts & prayers. Have a safe trip!

  4. Thanks for sharing the trick of using a clothes drying rack for an organizational tool. I have three different racks they will come in handy now that I have another use for them.
