Squaring Up

I have spent the last 3 days squaring up half-square triangles! They are for a UFO I unearthed during my archeological dig through my sewing room. There are 400 2 1/2" and 100 4 1/2" pieces! I think I know why this one was put in a box and put away... it is a LOT of work to trim and press those things! I think I will finish up tonight, and start putting them together into blocks.

I joined a mini quilt swap group on Flickr. I was too late for the January swap, but I am in for the February swap! I'm really excited- I think it will be a lot of fun to get to know other people through making them a quilt!

I am still fighting a cold off... so far I haven't actually gotten sick, but I know it's there, just waiting for the time I get over-tired or forget the orange juice! I just feel kind of blah. The weather is no help. It's supposed to be 20 degrees below zero tonight, with a windchill of 40 below! Time to start piling the extra quilts on!

  1. 400 pieces. Aarrgghh!! I suppose you can break it up into manageable amounts. Sorry to hear that you are not feeling well - hot lemon and honey will do the trick. Manuka honey if you can get it. Stay out of the cold and if you do need to go out make sure you keep your neck warm.

My goodness I sound just like my grandmother!

    Happy Stitching...Ann :)
